2024 OTE NBA Draft Preview
With the first round of the NBA Draft set to begin at 8PM ET on Wednesday night, Overtime Elite has five former players who are eligible to hear their names called during the two day event ๐
Alexandre Sarr is projected to go the highest of all the former OTE players, with most mock drafts projecting him to land with the Washington Wizards at the second overall pick. โโSarr is a 7โ1 center from Toulouse, France who played his most recent season for the Perth Wildcats out of the NBL in Australia. Sarr played two seasons with OTE, most recently competing in 2022-23 when he led the YNG Dreamerz all the way to the finals ๐ซ๐ท
Serving as the starting center for the Dreamerz, Sarr averaged 11.1 PPG and 6.4 RPG and was named to Second Team All-OTE. In his time at OTE, Sarr was named the OTE Player of the Week on two separate occasions, leading his team to undefeated weeks both times. Between his first and second season, Sarr improved his three-point shooting stroke resulting in a notable jump in his percentages (23% to 30%). Before coming to Overtime Elite, Sarr played in Spain for Real Madridโs Cadet A Youth Team. His brother Olivier Sarr has played on the Oklahoma City Thunder for the last three seasons ๐
Rob Dillingham, who played the 2023-24 season with the Kentucky Wildcats, is widely projected to be selected with a lottery pick. Dillingham is a 6โ1 point guard from Hickory, North Carolina. Coming into college, Dillingham was the #3 PG in the class of 2023 and #13 player overall. Dillingham played one season at OTE, competing for the Cold Hearts as the teamโs leading scorer ๐จ
Dillingham led the Cold Hearts to the playoffs where he averaged 18.0 PPG and 6.5 APG over the course of four games. Facing off against the City Reapers in the semi-finals, Dillingham posted his season high with 29 points in the first game of the series. For all of his success in the postseason, Dillingham had an immensely successful regular season as well, scoring in double figures in ten out of 12 games. Dillinghamโs regular season scoring high came against the YNG Dreamerz when he scored 24 points, including five makes from deep ๐
Tyler Smith played his most recent season with the G-League Ignite and has a wide range of outcomes in the draft, with some mock drafts projecting him to go as high as the mid-first round, with others have him landing in the second round. Smith is a 6โ10 forward from Houston, Texas who played two years at OTE before playing the 2023-24 season in the G-League. In his second season with OTE, Smith earned Second Team All-OTE honors after averaging 15.7 PPG and 8.0 RPG with the Cold Hearts ๐
Smith was one of OTEโs elite scorers, finishing seventh in scoring average through the playoffs at 16.3 PPG. Smithโs biggest scoring explosion came against the Holy Rams in which he scored 35 points in just three quarters of play. In the first round of the playoffs against the Bruins, Smith averaged a preposterous 23.5 PPG and finished his playoff run with an average of 18.5 PPG and 8.3 RPG. Smith was consistently efficient, scoring in double figures in 13 out of 15 regular season games, while also posting a double-double in five games ๐ช
Tyler Smith played a compact, but efficient role for G League Ignite, averaging 13.7 points in 22 minutes per game. His positional size at 6-foot-10, scoring instincts, shot-making prowess, and youth at 19 years old give him strong appeal for NBA teams.

While with OTE, Warren played for the YNG Dreamerz where he averaged 14.3 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 4.6 APG. Lewis played the 2023-24 season with the City Reapers and averaged 4.0 PPG and 4.0 RPG in four games played ๐คฉ
