2026-27 Cold Hearts Roster Preview

The 2026-27 OTE season is just around the corner and for the next month we will be slowly unveiling the teams and rosters for the upcoming season. The third team to be unveiled is the Cold Hearts, who come into this year with one of the deepest rosters the league has ever seen. Read below to learn all about the 2026-27 Cold Hearts roster 😮‍💨

The Cold Hearts are bringing in a brand new team with no returners from last year’s roster that made the OTE Finals. With that said they have completely retooled with what may be an even better unit than last year's finalist squad. The Cold Hearts boast four players who are ranked in the top 50 of their respective classes which is the most of any team in the league this season 🔥

The headliner for this squad is Cayden Gaskins who is the fourth ranked player in the class of 2029 according to ESPN. Gaskins is the brother of former high school star and current Miami Hurricanes freshman Caleb Gaskins who was ranked in the top 15 of the class of 2026. Gaskins is already receiving national attention, participating in the USA Men’s Junior National Team Minicamp in April. Gaskins will be one of the youngest stars in the league this season but is ready to lead the Cold Hearts to their first ever championship 🏆

In addition to Gaskins, the Cold Hearts will welcome in two top 25 players in the class of 2028 to help boost the team’s star power. Tai Bell is set to be the team’s starting point guard and he is the son of former Phoenix Suns standout Raja Bell. Bell is a slashing guard who is elite at getting to the paint and finishing through contact or dishing out to shooters when he draws extra attention. The Cold Hearts also add Martin Sibal who is a 7-2 forward with incredible versatility for his size 😤

Remarkably, Simbal isn’t the only seven footer on the team, as the Cold Hearts boast three total seven footers on their roster. Martin Simko is a top 50 player in the class of 2028 who stands at 7-1 and comes to the Cold Hearts from the Czech Republic. Akol Nyok also stands at 7-1 and is a class of 2027 center from South Sudan 🌲

Canadian Jordan Fisher is expected to round out the Cold Hearts starting lineup at the wing position. Fisher is coming off of a summer where he suited up for Team Canada at the FIBA U17 World Cup and averaged nearly 5 PPG. The Cold Hearts will also bring in youngster Dreson Evans who is a class of 2030 guard standout who is coming off of a summer playing for Nightrydas on the Nike EYBL circuit 🇨🇦

The Cold Hearts have added two Floridians to their already loaded roster who will bring some additional skill and toughness to the team. Ezra Gelin is a 6-2 guard who won the Nike EYBL 16U championship with the Nightrydas this summer. Nico Meireles is another Floridian getting added to the team who has two Florida state titles under his belt already 🐊

The final two players on the roster are two more international standouts which brings the Cold Hearts international player total to six. Max Van de Keere is a Belgian guard who played with the U16 Belgian national team at the FIBA U16 Eurobasket in 2025 where he averaged over 10 points per game. The final player on the roster is Vojtech Malik who is a 6-1 guard from the Czech Republic and he also played in the 2025 FIBA U16 Eurobasket with the Czech team where he averaged 8.4 PPG 🌎
