ANGT Wraps Up, Brown Makes Team USA

OTE athletes were showing out all over the world in what was an immensely successful weekend for Overtime Elite 👍

After becoming the first American team to participate in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, the U18 Overtime Elite squad subsequently became the first American team to ever record a win a game at the ANGT when they upset U18 FC Barcelona 102-98 😨

OTE followed up their win over FC Barcelona with a 99-91 dub over U18 ALBA Berlin to finish 2-1 in group play for what was an incredible first showing in Berlin 💪

Playing against ALBA Berlin, Parker Robinson remained on, fire scoring 25 points on a scorching 5-of-9 shooting mark from deep. Following the game, Robinson was named to the ANGT All-Tournament Team after averaging 20.1 PPG on 59.1% shooting from three 👌

Isaac Ellis matched the scoring output of Robinson with 25 points of his own, while also dishing out four assists and recording three steals. OTE’s newest member, Chris Jeffrey, made his impact felt on the game, as he quarterbacked the team with a game-high six assists while also registering three steals 🏈

A successful week in Europe for OTE was followed up with the announcement that the Cold Hearts Mikel Brown Jr. was selected for the USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team. Brown Jr. was one of 12 players selected to the team who will compete in Buenos Aires at the 2024 FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup from June 3rd-9th 🇺🇸

Brown Jr. is coming off of a season in which he was named to the All-OTE Second Team after he averaged 13.4 PPG and 5.4 APG for the Cold Hearts. Brown Jr. led the Cold Hearts to an appearance in the semi-finals, where he was the team’s second leading scorer and the team’s leading assist man 🥶

Brown Jr. and the Men’s U18 National Team will open play on June 3rd at 7:10PM EST against Argentina 🏆
