Top Storyline: To what heights can Kaden Magwood take them?

The Blue Checks may have lost Kansas bound Rakease Passmore but they brought in one of the future faces of the league in Kaden Magwood who is more than capable of picking up Passmore’s torch. Magwood comes into the season as one of the highest ranked players in the entire league and is a large part of the reason the Blue Checks find themselves as high as fourth in the preseason Strictly Rankings. Magwood will look to challenge for the league lead in scoring this season as he is as pure a bucket getter as there is from everywhere on the floor 🪣

Magwood isn’t alone though, as the Blue Checks have added more depth than they have ever had. Yohance Connor is a four-star prospect in the class of 2026 who is one of the shiftiest guards at OTE and he and Magwood make up what may be the best backcourt at OTE. In addition they also brought in forward Preston Copeland who is known for controlling the paint while also making high level reads all over the court 🎨

The Blue Checks return one of the most promising young players in the league in Elhadji Diallo who is one of the springiest athletes in all of OTE. Diallo had a breakout performance in the 2024 playoffs where he averaged 8.7 PPG and 6.3 RPG while also recording over a steal and a block per game. Guard CJ Purdie also returns and looks to step into a bigger role this season as he has added new depths to his game as a scorer 🐰

The Blue Checks appear poised for one of the biggest leaps of any team in the league this season. One of the most well-constructed teams, with a blend of star talent and solid role players to back them up, the Blue Checks have true title aspirations 🏆

The Blue Checks will begin their season on Friday, November 1 at 7 PM when they take on OTE’s newest team Fear of God Athletics in Lincolnton, NC 📱
