The City Reapers split games on the weekend, registering a dominant victory over the Holy Rams on Friday night before falling to Ring City in a nail biter on Saturday afternoon. Jahki Howard excelled for the Reapers all weekend, leading the team in scoring in both outings with a weekend average of 17.5 PPG, while also pulling down seven boards in both contests. Jaeden Mustaf orchestrated the offense beautifully throughout the weekend with an average of seven assists over the two games, which was the top mark on the team ๐Ÿ‘€

For RWE, Somto Cyril shattered multiple Overtime Elite records in Fridayโ€™s preseason win over Ring City. Cyril registered ten blocks in the game, which is the best mark in a single game in league history, preseason or regular season, and he became the first ever player to record a triple-double with a defensive statistic, as he put up a line of 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks. Not to be overshadowed, Karter Knox scored an OTE preseason high of 30 points, as he was matched up with Ring Cityโ€™s Dylan Harper for much of the night ๐Ÿค

Playing on Saturday afternoon, the Cold Hearts established an early lead against the Holy Rams and never looked back. As he has done for much of the preseason, Adam Oumiddoch led the team in scoring, putting up a smooth 23 points on an efficient 60% shooting from the field. Samis Calderon recorded his first double-double of the preseason, as he registered a line of 15 points and 12 rebounds and helped establish the Cold Hearts dominant presence in the paint early in the game ๐Ÿ’™

The final OTE games of the preseason will be played on November 10th-11th in New York City, when RWE and the City Reapers will face off against some of the top high school talent from the state of New York. You can buy tickets here if youโ€™re in the area ๐Ÿ‘‡
