Craziest Night in OTE History

In what was quite possibly the best night of games in OTE’s regular season history, the first game of the night saw the greatest comeback in OTE history while the second game saw one of the wildest buzzer-beater’s the league has ever seen 🤯

RWE pulled off the greatest comeback in OTE history, battling back from down 17, including a 12-point deficit with a minute and a half left in the game, in an all-time heartbreaking loss for the Cold Hearts. Even when all hope seemed lost, Taylen Kinney never took his foot off the gas which included him making the game-tying layup to send the game to OT and scoring four of RWE’s six points in the overtime period to clinch the win. Kinney finished his night with 28 points, six assists, four boards and four steals in what was an elite night for Kinney who is mounting a stealth MVP campaign 🏅

Jasper Johnson also played a major role in the comeback, scoring 25 points and keeping the team afloat as they mounted their rise. Parker Robinson played out of his mind down the stretch, scoring six of RWE’s final 12 points to send the game to OT 🔥

Despite the Cold Hearts loss, Kai Rogers still put on a phenomenal performance, scoring 21 points and swatting five shots, tied for the most in a game this season of any player. Wei Zhao put together his second double-double of the season, rounding out the night with ten points and ten assists 🪙

The second game of the night was a battle of the heavy-hitters, as the Blue Checks took down the City Reapers 90-88 thanks to a buzzer-beating step-back three from Kaden Magwood. In what was a back-and-forth game from start to finish it was Magwood and Josiah Parker who lifted the Blue Checks to victory finishing with a combined 62 points. Magwood had a monster night, finishing with 36 points, including the instantly iconic game-winner 👹

Parker put together his fourth consecutive double-double as he rounded out the night with 26 points and 13 rebounds and more clutch plays down the stretch of the game than can be counted. BJ Powell had his biggest scoring night of the season, logging 12 big-time points as the only other player besides Magwood and Parker to break double-digits for the Checks 🤏

For the City Reapers, Meleek Thomas did everything in his power to propel the Reapers to a victory, finishing with a career-high 39 points while also dishing out five assists. Amari Evans was the only other player for the Reapers to score in double-figures, as he completed the game with a season-high 29 points and eight boards 💪
