Eli Ellis Drops 50!

Game Results:

Eli Ellis continued to do the unthinkable for the YNG Dreamerz, as he dropped 50 points to break the OTE single game scoring record - the previous high was 44 points, a mark set by Ellis himself earlier this season. After scoring an already impressive 21 points in the first half, Ellis went supernova in the second half, putting together a seasonโ€™s worth of highlight reel material to score an additional 29 points to break the scoring record ๐Ÿคฏ

In the first game of the night, the Cold Hearts and RWE played in the Game of the Year, as the Cold Hearts pulled off the 10-point comeback to takedown RWE, 68-66, in the final seconds. With the game tied at 66 apiece and 30 seconds left it was Kanon Catchings who played the hero role for the Cold Hearts, getting fouled on a drive to the rim before knocking down 1-of-2 free throws to take down RWE ๐Ÿฅถ

Catchings had his best game of the season, hitting timely shots throughout the evening, including the eventual game-winner, and he finished the night with a team-best 16 points to go along with seven boards. Adam Oumiddoch did his part, notching 13 points, which included going a perfect 6-for-6 from 2-point range ๐Ÿ’ฏ

RWE led for most of the game in large part thanks to Daquan Davis and Karter Knox, who did their usual damage combining to score over half of RWEโ€™s points on the night. Peyton Marshall had his best game in an RWE jersey, as he scored 14 points while also logging a season-high five blocks โœ‹

In the battle for the Carolinas, the YNG Dreamerz built out a double-digit lead in the first half and never looked back, taking down the Blue Checks, 104-80 in their first meeting of the season. After coming into the game with a questionable injury designation, Eli Ellis strung together his most magical performance of the season, finishing the game with 50 points, the OTE single game scoring record, and also marking his fifth consecutive game with over 25 points ๐Ÿช„

Also making a large impact on the game was the Dreamerz big man Don Lewis, who rounded out the game with 28 points, in part due to yet another efficient night from deep, finishing 5-for-8 from trey-ball range. Glue guy Kendrick Wilson had his highest scoring game of the season, registering 15 points to go along with a team best six assists ๐Ÿ‘Œ

For the Blue Checks, Rakease Passmore continues to be their biggest impact player, as he led the team with a cool 21 points while also being a menace on the defensive end, notching three blocks and a steal. Jayan Walker had his fingerprints all over the game, as he finished with a steady box score of 25 points, six assists and eight rebounds ๐Ÿชจ

OTE will be back in action at OTE Arena next Friday with a superstar duel of Eli Ellis and the YNG Dreamerz taking on Ian Jackson and Jelly Fam at 7PM on Prime Video โญ
