Jelly Fam Force a Game 3
Round 2 - Game 2 Results:
Game two of the second round between Jelly Fam and the Cold Hearts was the game of the year, coming down to the final seconds before Jelly Fam squeaked out the 80-78 victory to force a win-or-go-home game 3 on Sunday. In a game that saw 32 lead changes, Jelly Fam had the ball down one point with 20 seconds on the clock, Ian Jackson did what he does best, slashing his way to the rim where he showed off his elite touch to lay-in the game-winning bucket. The Cold Hearts found the ball back in their hands with four seconds remaining and got the rock to Samis Calderon for a wide open jumper to send the game to overtime at the buzzer, but his shot clanked off the back of the rim, sending the series to a third and final game 🍿
Elijah Moore was lights out all night long, finishing his evening with 29 points to lead all scorers, which included six triples, tied for the sixth most in a game this season. The double-double machine Solomon Ominu registered his ninth double-double this season, the most of any player in OTE this season, with a stat line of 17 points and 17 boards 🚁
For the Cold Hearts, Mikel Brown Jr. led the team in scoring with 20 points while also dishing out a game-high five assists, as he hit some preposterous threes in the fourth quarter to keep the Cold Hearts alive. Kanon Catchings registered a 16 point and ten rebound double-double of his own, as the team switched to a rebound by committee approach after John Bol made an early exit from the game 👌
