Jelly Fam and Dreamerz Earn Big Wins

Game Results:

The first game of the night was an absolute thriller, as Jelly Fam clinched a much needed win, taking down Rolling Loud 84-81 in overtime. In what has become the norm for Jelly Fam, Ian Jackson was the hero of the night, finishing with 28 points, including the game-winner. With Jelly Fam holding an 82-81 lead and playing to a target score of 83, Jackson found himself with the ball in his hands for the first time of the overtime period and toasted a mismatch on a drive to the rim for the easy lay-in finish and the game 🤑

With this win, Jelly Fam moves up to fourth in the standings with a record of 8-7 which is pivotal in the race for a top four seed, with the top four seeds earning a bye from the single elimination game that is the first round of the playoffs. Solomon Ominu was on another level all night long, as he dominated the paint to the tune of 19 points and 15 boards. Jordan Skyers had one of his stronger nights of the season, racking up 13 points and five boards which included some pivotal high IQ plays down the stretch of the game 🍇

Larry Johnson did everything in his power to fuel a Rolling Loud victory, even playing through late game cramps, putting up a stat line of 26 points and eight boards as he went shot for shot with Jelly Fam’s Jackson the entire game. Martin Somerville, AKA Shifty Jesus, served as a jack-of-all-trades for Rolling Loud finishing with a complete stat line of nine points, five boards and ten assists, tied for the third most assists in a single game this season 🙏

The YNG Dreamerz, rebranded as their alter ego the YNG Nightmarez for the evening, put on a special performance in the Prime Video game of the week, taking down RWE 99-95 thanks to a 45 point fourth quarter. Eli Ellis was his usual brilliant self, scoring a game-high 38 points as he now possesses eight of the top ten single game scoring performances this season. With their win, the Dreamerz are now in sole possession of first place with a record of 11-4, which puts them a half game up on both the City Reapers and the Cold Hearts 😱

Isaac Ellis continues to be the perfect complimentary piece to his brother as he scored 22 points, despite a hard fall on his wrist in the fourth quarter, including two clutch free throws to ice the game. Don Lewis continued to do a brilliant job stretching the floor, scoring 16 points including three triples and giving his teammates a wide open lane to drive into all evening 👌

RWE drops to 7-7 with the loss and fall to fifth in the standings, just a half game behind Jelly Fam for the coveted fourth seed. Daquan Davis played his heart out, hitting big shot after big shot, to finish the game with 26 points but fell just short of the win. Darrion Sutton finished his night with his seventh double-double of the season, closing out the evening with a stat line of 17 points and ten boards ❤️‍🔥
