Dreamerz & RWE Capture Pivotal Wins

Game Results:

The opening game in Indianapolis was one for the ages, as the YNG Dreamerz pulled off the comeback of the century to down the City Reapers 91-88 in overtime. It looked like the Dreamerz night was over with six minutes left to play trailing the Reapers by 19 points, but in reality the game had just begun. Eli Ellis scored 19 of his 30 points over the final six minutes of regulation in what was a true once in a lifetime nuclear scoring performance ๐Ÿคฏ

In overtime, the game was tied at 88 a piece with the teams playing to a target score of 89, Eli brought the ball up the court and with all of the attention he drew, the Reapers mistakenly left Isaac Ellis wide open. Eli dished the ball to his younger brother who calmly and confidently knocked down the game-winning triple to put the Dreamerz in pole position for the one seed with one game left to play ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Eli finished the game with another 30 piece, his 11th of the season, while also notching a double-double with ten assists. Evan Morton continues to thrive in his new expanded role, scoring 20 points on 5-for-8 shooting from deep, which included 14 points in the first half to keep the Dreamerz afloat early ๐Ÿ‘Œ

For the City Reapers, Jahki Howard had one of his strongest games of the season, logging 24 points, a season-high, while also pulling down seven boards. Amari Evans attempted to bolster his Defensive Player of the Year case, as he registered five steals, the second most for any player in a single game this season, while also scoring 14 points ๐Ÿ—œ๏ธ

In the second game of the night, RWE built up a 20-point lead in the first half and managed to stave off a fourth quarter comeback attempt for the 92-82 upset over the Cold Hearts. Karter Knox was on an absolute heater all night long, scoring 35 points, a top ten scoring output in OTE this season, as he propelled his RWE squad to a critical victory. With the win, RWE holds strong at fifth in the standings, but put themselves in a position to potentially move up to fourth in todayโ€™s game ๐Ÿ†™

Elsewhere for RWE, Daquan Davis loaded up the box score with 20 points, six assists and eight rebounds, as his play was crucial to the teamโ€™s win. Jayden Wilkins continued his heater from deep, knocking down three three-pointers and finishing the night with 11 points ๐Ÿ’ฅ

For the Cold Hearts, Adam Oumiddoch had his biggest scoring output since back in December, dropping 18 points as he nearly staged a fourth quarter comeback, getting the Cold Hearts within two with just over a minute left to play. Mikel Brown Jr. was excellent in his offensive initiator role, dishing out eight assists, tied for his second best mark of the season, while also putting in 13 points ๐Ÿช™
