OTE First Round Set For Tuesday

Tuesday, February 18:

📍 7 p.m. - Cold Hearts vs. Diamond Doves (YouTube)

📍 9 p.m. - Jelly Fam vs. Fear of God Athletics (YouTube)

The OTE Playoffs are here and the First Round kicks off on Tuesday with two high octane win-or-go-home games that are bound to provide plenty of fireworks 🎆

The First Round begins with the eighth seeded Cold Hearts taking on the Diamond Doves who made an improbable run to the fifth seed at the end of the regular season. The Doves are 3-0 against the Cold Hearts this season but each matchup has been incredibly close with the Cold Hearts holding a fourth quarter lead in each of their games 🥶

The Diamond Doves won six of their final seven games to shockingly move all the way up to the fifth seed. The play of Isaiah Henry is a large part of the Doves success as he put up the first 30 point double-double in Diamond Doves franchise history in their upset win of the Blue Checks to close out the season 🕊️

The Cold Hearts also ended the regular season with some positive momentum, as they won two of their final three games including a potentially season-changing upset in OT against the top seeded YNG Dreamerz last weekend. Adam Oumiddoch has been instrumental in the Cold Hearts wins, leading the team in scoring in each of their last two wins with an average of 28.0 PPG 🤯

The First Round will conclude with a matchup between #7 Jelly Fam and #6 Fear of God Athletics, a matchup that has epitomized “grit and grind” in the 2024-25 season. FOGA holds a 2-1 advantage in the season series but both teams are averaging under 75 PPG in their matchups which is the lowest scoring totals for either team 🪨

Fear of God Athletics has stumbled a bit recently going 0-4 in the month of February, however, they have been without MVP finalist Shon Abaev for all but one of those games. Abaev is expected to return for this matchup and his 22.7 PPG are sure to be a major boon to FOGA’s offense 🏅

Jelly Fam closed out the regular season with two upset wins including a win over first round opponent FOGA. Thomas Bassong was huge in that game putting up a 20 point, ten rebound double-double and Jelly Fam will need another performance like that from their DPOY finalist if they want to pull off the upset on Tuesday evening 🍇
