The YNG Dreamerz were the first team to get in the win column as they avenged their semi-finals loss to RWE last season with an 85-81 win on opening night. The Dreamerz fended off a feisty RWE team, who got the game within one possession on multiple occasions, thanks in large part to the play of the reigning MVP ๐Ÿ˜ก

Eli Ellis picked up right where he left off scoring a game-high 31 points including clutch shot after clutch shot down the stretch. Isaac Ellis appears to have leveled up his game scoring an efficient 17 points while also pulling down nine rebounds despite standing at just 6-1. Newcomer Kohl Rosario showed out with 15 points and six rebounds and one massive block โ˜๏ธ

For RWE, the backcourt of Taylen Kinney and Jasper Johnson combined for 40 points and proved that they are one of the most fearsome units at OTE. Trade acquisition Parker Robinson played a big role as a starter as well, scoring 12 points and pulling down six boards ๐ŸŽƒ

In the second game of the night in OTE Arena, the City Reapers exploded in the fourth quarter, scoring 39 points, to overcome a 10-point deficit and win their opener 92-87 over the Cold Hearts. Meleek Thomas was unbelievable, scoring 22 of his game-high 32 points in the fourth quarter in a truly electric showing. Thomas finished the night with a full stat line of 32 points, 12 boards and three assists โšก

Before the basketball even began on Friday night, Amari Evans announced that he would be attending Tennessee to continue his basketball career and the energy from that announcement carried directly over into the game. Evans scored 20 points while getting his usual steal and block that has become commonplace in his game ๐Ÿงก

For the Cold Hearts, Adam Oumiddoch led the way with 18 points while also putting together a rock-solid defensive performance racking up two steals and two blocks. The Cold Hearts offense ran through Wei Zhao who had a nifty all-around stat line of 14 points, eight assists and five boards ๐Ÿฅถ

In Lincolnton, North Carolina, the Diamond Doves made a statement with a 95-66 win over Jelly Fam, a win that will send shockwaves throughout the league. The Diamond Doves aim to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with this year and the combo of Isaiah Henry and Deshawn Gory, who combined for 49 points, are a large part of the reason why ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

In the second game of the night in NC, the Blue Checks put together a big night of their own, downing OTEโ€™s newest team, Fear of God Athletics, 91-85. Josiah Parker stole the show with a full stat line of 29 points, seven rebounds and five assists while his teammate and superstar, Kaden Magwood scored 24 points of his own while also dishing out eight assists โœ…
