Cold Hearts & RWE Win Game 1
Game 1 Round 2 Results:
The first game of the second round was a barn-burner, as RWE took down the Blue Checks 75-67 in Game 1 of the best-of-3 series. Daquan Davis was unbelievable for RWE, finishing his night with a near triple-double of 18 points, ten boards and eight assists. With the win, RWE needs just one more win to secure a date with the YNG Dreamerz in the semi-finals 🤯
For RWE, this game will be remembered as the Jason Jackson game, as he was unstoppable in the fourth quarter, splashing home two threes, powering home one massive alley-oop and dishing out the game-sealing assist to teammate Somto Cyril. Karter Knox was excellent per usual, rounding out his night with 15 points and was dialed in on defense all evening, highlighted by a steal and a dunk to put a punctuation mark on the end of this one 👹
For the Blue Checks, Rakease Passmore did what Passmore does, scoring 20 points for the tenth time this season, 14 of which game in the second half. Elhadji Diallo continues to prove that he belongs in the conversation for the Next Man Up award, as he finished the night with 12 points, including a monster poster jam, while taking on the defensive assignments on RWE’s big men all night despite the size differential 💪
An 18-0 run that spanned between the third and fourth quarters powered the Cold Hearts to a 77-67 comeback victory in their first game of the second round against Jelly Fam. After giving up 12 straight points to Jelly Fam to begin the third quarter, the Cold Hearts looked dead in the water, but thanks to some high energy plays from Kanon Catchings, Trey Parker and Ralph Martino Jr. they were able to pull themselves back into the game before eventually squeaking out the win. The Cold Hearts are now a single win away from a semi-final matchup with their rival, the City Reapers 🥶
Katchings led the Cold Hearts in scoring with 21 points, and he was unconscious in the second half, letting the ball fly every time it touched his hands, resulting in a 9-for-12 shooting night. Mikel Brown Jr. was his usual steadying presence, finishing the night with 15 points, which included a couple of timely triples down the home stretch of the game. Parker didn’t have his biggest scoring night, but he was everywhere on the court, playing tight man D and making the right reads with the ball in his hands, leading to a team-high six assists 📖

Elijah Moore led all scorers with 24 points, as he was largely responsible for keeping the game tight until the very end. Ian Jackson finished his night with 21 points and powered Jelly Fam to their early lead, while also recording five steals, tied for the third most in a game this season 🔒
