OTE Regular Season Nearing Finish Line
The OTE regular season is coming to a close, and the upcoming week will be instrumental in sorting out every teams final positions in the postseason standings. With the majority of teams having only three games remaining and three teams tied atop the standings, this week is set up to be one of the most exciting of the entire year. This weekโs Prime Video game of the week is a blockbuster matchup between the YNG Dreamerz and RWE at 7PM on Friday night ๐ฟ

The week kicks off in Queens, NY as two teams in the middle of the standings face off for the second and final time this season. Jelly Fam, who have lost two straight games, took down the Blue Checks in their first meeting of the season, 79-72. Elijah Moore had an explosive scoring performance in their first matchup, scoring a game-high 23 points and not sitting for a single second all game. The Blue Checks have fallen to sixth in the standings, the lowest they have been all season, and with a win over Jelly Fam could move back up into fifth place ๐

Jelly Fam will be back in action two days later when they travel to Atlanta to take on a frisky Rolling Loud squad on Friday evening. Rolling Loud pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season a couple of weeks ago when they pulverized Jelly Fam by 23 points, thanks to a cool 25 points from OTEโs most underrated star, Larry Johnson. Jelly Fam is currently tied at fourth in the standings and two wins this week could move them within half a game of the league's top spot. Rolling Loud stands at seventh place in the standings and are looking to build momentum heading into the postseason with a second consecutive victory over Jelly Fam ๐
Larry Johnson might be the MOST UNDERRATED hooper at OTE ๐ @Larrygetbuckets

In the Prime Video game of the week, RWE will show down with the YNG Dreamerz as two of the highest octane teams in the league. RWE holds the longest winning streak in the league currently, having won three straight and everything seems to be breaking right for the team at the right time. After missing the majority of the regular season, big man Somto Cyril made his much anticipated return in RWEโs win over the Diamond Doves last Friday, while Karter Knox has scored over 20 in all three of the teamโs wins. On the other hand, the YNG Dreamerz are firmly entrenched in the race for the one seed, and Eli Ellis seems to be in the driver's seat in the MVP race with just three games left to play in the regular season ๐
I really missed watching Somto hoop โบ๏ธ @somto_cyril

In the first game on Saturday, the City Reapers will take on the Cold Hearts for the first time since December 2 in a duel for the number one spot in the playoffs. The Reapers and Cold Hearts come into this matchup tied atop the standings with a record of 10-4, and this matchup will go a long way in determining who will claim the top spot at the season's close. The Cold Hearts are undefeated since Dave Leitao took over as Head Coach, most recently taking down the Blue Checks on their home court thanks to a monster 22-point, 15-rebound stat line from star big man John Bol. The City Reapers have won two straight games, defeating their two West coast opponents last week, as Bryson Tiller scored a season-high 21 points in their win over the Diamond Doves ๐ช

The final game of the weekend will be played between Rolling Loud and RWE, a rematch that RWE was victorious in under a week ago. When the two teams faced off last week, RWE pummeled Rolling Loud 88-76, as OTE Player of the Week Jayden Wilkins scored 20 straight points to close out the game for RWE. A 2-0 weekend for Rolling Loud would be huge in earning them a higher seed in the playoffs and putting them on the right path to being a team that no one wants to see early in the postseason. If RWE manages a 2-0 weekend, they would have sole control of the four seed and a chance to move even higher into the standings before the season's end ๐ฅ
