Rolling Loudโ€™s Massive Upset

The Cold Hearts won their second game in a row on Friday night, taking down the Blue Checks, 85-60, with an offensive barrage in the second half. Kanon Catchings went scorched earth in the third and fourth quarters, scoring 22 of his 27 points in the second half while also snatching 11 boards. With their second straight win, the Cold Hearts moved back up to second in the standings, positioning themselves well for the tail end of the season โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Mikel Brown Jr. continues to prove he is a savant on the court, organizing the teamโ€™s offense and dishing out six assists while also reaching double figures in scoring with ten points. John Bol bolstered his case for Defensive Player of the Year, notching a season-high three steals while also swatting a shot over the course of the evening โœ‹

Rakease Passmore starred for the Blue Checks once again, this time dropping 20 points, his fifth game this season and third in a row of scoring 20+ points. Elhadji Diallo continued his trend of big time dunks, adding one more to his highlight reel tonight, while also posting a solid defensive game, as he logged two blocks ๐Ÿ’ช

In the second game on Friday evening, Rolling Loud pulled off the massive upset, downing a scorching hot Jelly Fam squad, 101-77. Rolling Loud held off multiple comeback attempts throughout the game thanks to Larry Johnson, who was relentless in attacking the rim, finishing the night with a team-high 25 points ๐Ÿ˜ค

Naas Cunningham was lights out from beyond the arc, finishing 4-for-9 from three-point land and giving him a cool scoring total of 18 points to go along with five steals. Elsewhere for Rolling Loud, Martin Somerville put together a comprehensive stat line of 22 points, nine boards and five assists, including six splashes from deep, as his play was instrumental in earning the upset win ๐Ÿ‘Œ

For Jelly Fam, Ian Jackson came into the night as a game-time decision for the second night in a row with flu-like symptoms, but it didnโ€™t matter as he scored a season-high 33 points while also knocking down the most triples of his career with five. Solomon Ominu dominated the paint for much of the night, registering his fifth double-double of the season, notching a strong line of 11 points and 13 boards ๐Ÿคฎ

Four more teams will be in action back at OTE Arena next Thursday, as the City Reapers are slated to host the Diamond Doves at 7PM and will be followed by RWE against Rolling Loud at 8:30PM on YouTubeย ๐Ÿ“ฑ
