๐ RWE Get First Win of the Year
RWE did it at long last, getting their first win of the season in a 79-73 thriller over the City Reapers on Friday night. In a game that was tied at 73 apiece with 30 seconds left to play, RWE was all gas to close out the night, scoring six straight to ice the game and putting the team in the win column for the first time this year. Peyton Miller continues to be a revelation at point guard for RWE, scoring a team-high 21 points which included four made triples ๐ฎโ๐จ
Parker Robinson had a nice bounce back game, scoring 11 points while also making a major impact on the glass with a team-high seven boards. Taylen Kinney also scored 11 points but his value on the game was found outside of the scoring column, as he logged a team-high four assists and was in command of the RWE offense from start to finish ๐ค
For the City Reapers, Kole Grandison has been balling in the early portion of the season, logging a game-high 26 points and recording his first double-double of the season with ten rebounds. Jeremy Jenkins was relentless in getting to the rim, resulting in 20 points and five boards ๐
FaZe wasnโt playing any games in the second game of the night, absolutely demolishing the Cold Hearts 108-100 to keep them at second in the league standings. DaKari Spear continues to look like one of the premiere scorers in the league this season, notching 34 points, a new OTE career high ๐ฅ
Marcus Spears Jr. is one of the most versatile players the league has to offer, scoring 26 points from all over the floor while also logging nine rebounds and two blocks. Phoenix Woodson was a big body down low, owning the paint to the tune of 14 boards and four blocks ๐ช
For the Cold Hearts, Adam Oumiddoch finished with 34 points, keeping him in the top five scorers this season with an average of 31.0 points per game. After suffering a season-ending leg injury last year, Brisun Hammermeister made his triumphant return to the court tonight and logged one rebound and one assist ๐ฅน
There is more OTE action tomorrow night, as Fear of God Athletics make their ATL debut against the City Reapers at 5 PM before RWE and FaZe face off in a rematch of opening weekend. All OTE games can be watched on the OTE YouTube channel ๐ฑ
