RWE Wins YNG Grudge Match
OTE’s greatest rivalry was renewed on Sunday afternoon with one of the absolute best games of the year. In what was a back-and-forth affair all evening long, RWE prevailed over the YNG Dreamerz 101-96 which stretched RWE’s current win streak to five games. Newcomer Javon Bardwell put on a show, scoring a career-high 34 points while pulling down eight boards. The addition of Bardwell appears to have propelled RWE into the true upper echelon of contenders for the remainder of the season 🔥
For the second night in a row Parker Robinson balled out, scoring 27 points while also dishing out five assists. Taylen Kinney registered his second straight double-double, rounding out the evening with a nice stat line of 12 points, ten assists and six boards 🪙
For the YNG Dreamerz, Isaac Ellis scored a game-high 43 points, marking the second time this season that he has crossed the 40-point threshold, while also tallying four assists and three boards. K’majay Jenkins finished just shy of a double-double with ten points and eight boards but maybe more impressively he was undeniable on defense, recording two blocks and two steals 😤
The Cold Hearts survived a big scare in the second game on Sunday, squeaking out a 90-85 win over the Diamond Doves. With their win, the Cold Hearts win streak has moved to nine games which puts them in a tie with the 2025 Dreamerz and 2025 RWE teams for the third longest win streak in OTE history. Despite the nature of the victory, Adam Oumiddoch still found a way to be elite, scoring a game-high 39 points while also pulling down seven rebounds 😮💨
Anderson Diaz didn’t have his biggest scoring night of the season but he found other ways to make his impact felt, dishing out 11 assists and pulling down 11 boards. Omari Chaudhry had his biggest scoring night of the season, notching 22 points on 72.7% shooting from the floor 🥶
The Diamond Doves came up just short but it was of no fault of the newest Doves star Marcus McDonald who rounded out the evening with 23 points and five assists. Ja’Quan Stennis Jr. had a major impact on this one, disrupting the Cold Hearts offense with two blocks and a steal while also contributing 12 points and seven boards 🕊️
