Ten New Players Join OTE

Over the last month OTE has announced the signing of ten more players who will be joining the Atlanta based OTE teams for this upcoming season. This includes Jasper Johnson, who is the 12th ranked player in the class of 2025, and Marcus Gillespie, who was chosen out of the OTE Tryout ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Overtime Elite brought in their next great player when the highly touted Jasper Johnson committed to play at OTE for this upcoming season. Johnson is a 6-4, 175 lb point guard from Lexington, KY who played his junior year for Link Academy which is located in Branson, MO. Johnson instantly becomes one of the highest ranked players committed to play for OTE, as he is the 12th ranked player in the class of 2025 according to ESPN. Johnson has received offers to play at some of the top universities in the country including Kentucky, Alabama, UNC and Illinois amongst others ๐Ÿ”

Johnson is coming off of a stint playing for the USA U18 National team who took home the gold medal at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup. While playing for Team USA, Johnson averaged 10.0 PPG and 2.7 APG while shooting a team best 42.3% clip from deep. In high school, Johnson helped lead Link Academy to the number one ranking in the state of Missouri ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Marcus Gillespie was one of 20 players to participate in the first ever OTE Dream Tryout and became the first and only player selected to be a part of OTE this season. Gillespie is a 6-4, 180 lb guard in the class of 2025 from Athens, GA. Gillespie played his junior season for Clarke Central where he led the team to a winning record of 15-13. In the OTE Dream Tryouts, Gillespie dropped 28 points in what was an impressive showing that led to his selection into the OTE Draft ๐Ÿคซ

Kai Rogers, who stands at 6-9 and 250 lbs, joins OTE as the 82nd ranked player in the class of 2025 according to ESPN. Rogers is a center from Wauwatosa, WI and he played his junior season for Wauwatosa West High School where he served as one of the teamโ€™s captains. During his junior season, Rogers led the team in scoring with a massive average of 20.0 PPG while also rounding out his double-double average with 13.6 RPG ๐Ÿง€

Brisun Hammermeister is a three-star recruit in the class of 2026 who played his sophomore season for the Villages Charter School. Hammermeister is 6-7, 185 lb wing who is from The Villages, FL. During his sophomore year, Hammermeister averaged 5.0 PPG on a team-leading 39.0% from three-point range to help lead the Villages Charter School to a second place finish in 4A District 6 ๐Ÿ”จ

Cole Kirouac is a center from the class of 2024 who is committed to play with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets following this season with Overtime Elite. Kirouac is a 6-10, 195 lb center who played his senior season with Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH. During his senior season, Kirouac averaged 2.7 PPG and 3.5 RPG and helped lead Brewster to a fourth place finish in their league ๐Ÿ

Kole Grandison is a four-star recruit in the class of 2026 from Montclair, NJ. Grandison is a 6-6, 195 lb forward who played his sophomore season for Immaculate Conception High School who he helped lead to the non-public B State Championship game. As a result of their successful season, Grandison landed on the All-Non Public Third Team. Grandison put together averages of 16.2 PPG and 4.2 RPG in what was a remarkable sophomore season ๐Ÿ’ช

Keshawn Fisher is a 6-6, 200 lb combo guard in the class of 2025 from River Rouge, MI who played his junior season for River Rouge High School. In the regular season, Fisher averaged 25.5 PPG, 7.3 RPG and 3.2 APG on 51% shooting from the field and 36% shooting from deep for River Rouge. Fisher was instrumental in helping lead River Rouge to the state quarterfinals in Michigan. Fisher has received offers to play at Rutgers, East Michigan and Duquesne amongst others ๐Ÿ 

Omari Chaudhry is a 6-2 point guard in the class of 2027 who played for Osborne High School his freshman year. In 16 games played, Chaudhry averaged 11.9 PPG, 2.4 RPG and 1.9 APG in helping lead the Osborne Cardinals to a 4th place finish in the 7A Region 5. Chaudhry played at Osborne with recent OTE commit Akai Fleming ๐Ÿ˜ค

Jackson McVey is a 7-1, 225 lb center from Ellijay, Georgia who played his junior season at Gilmer High School. McVey helped lead the Gilmer Bobcats to a record of 19-9 in the regular season and a 10-2 record in region play during his junior year. McVey and the Bobcats won their Regional Championship, the first ever in program history, and at seasonโ€™s end McVey was awarded the teamโ€™s MVP Award for his efforts in leading the team through their historic season ๐Ÿ™€

Asher Elson is a 6-10, 180 lb forward in the class of 2025 who played his junior season for South Shore High School. A successful junior season saw Elson named to the PSAL 4A First Team All-League after leading the Vikings to a 20-10 record. Elson finished the season with averages of 16 points and six rebounds per game ๐Ÿ‘
