The Blue Checks and Cold Hearts played in a thriller from start to finish with the Blue Checks narrowly beating them out 91-89 in the end. The Cold Hearts made an impassioned comeback attempt in the final minute but down two with five seconds left and the ball in their hands they made an unfortunate turnover on a fast break opportunity to seal the game. After being snubbed from the All-OTE Team Kaden Magwood came into this game with a point to prove, scoring a team-high 25 points 😤
The newly minted Most Underrated Player Josiah Park put together his ninth double-double of the year, finishing the evening with 24 points and 11 boards. Caleb Thomas did all of the little things for the Blue Checks, dishing out nine dimes and generating three steals including the clutch final steal to clinch the game 🪙
Samis Calderon had the best game of his career, scoring a personal best 27 points, including four triples, while still providing his usual paint presence with eight boards and four blocks. Omari Chaudhry had one of the better games of his time at OTE, scoring a career-high 19 points while pulling down six boards and dishing out four assists 🗜️
In the second game of the night, RWE took over late, out scoring Fear of God Athletics 27-12 in the fourth quarter to take home a 100-82 Game 1 victory. With superstar Taylen Kinney out, Jasper Johnson put the team on his back, setting the OTE all-time record for most assists in a game with 14 while also scoring a team-high 19 points 🤯
Pat Otey was feeling it from deep, making four of his five attempts from long range, resulting in 18 points to go along with six boards and three steals. Parker Robinson was cooking from deep as well, going a perfect 3-for-3 from deep to finish game 1 with 16 points and six boards 👌
For Fear of God Athletics, Cayden Daughtry went nuclear, scoring 22 points, including seven triples, which kept the team in the game for much of the night. Shon Abaev was his usual productive self, scoring 17 points and dishing out seven assists ☢️
Game two of both series will take place tomorrow with the Blue Checks and Cold Hearts continuing at 5 PM on Prime Video before RWE and Fear of God Athletics do battle again at 7 PM on YouTube 🎞️
