Cold Hearts and Jelly Fam Win

In Dave Leitaoโ€™s first game since taking over as Head Coach of the Cold Hearts, his squad put together a convincing win over Rolling Loud, taking home a tight 81-76 victory. The newly minted McDonaldโ€™s All-American, John Bol, put together one of his best performances of the season, posting a double-double with a team-high of 18 points and 18 rebounds, with the rebounding mark establishing a new career-high. The Cold Hearts moved to 8-4 and are now tied for second in the standings with their win ๐Ÿฅถ

Kanon Catchings continued his hot 2024, finishing the game with 16 points, his fifth consecutive game crossing the double-digits threshold. Mikel Brown Jr. continues to be one of the best offensive maestros in the league, as he led the team with five assists while logging 14 points of his own ๐ŸŽถ

For Rolling Loud, Larry Johnson carried the bulk of the offensive burden, finishing the game with 19 points, while also posting a season-high four steals, serving as a defensive disruptor throughout the game. The two Penn State commits, Miles Goodman and Dominick Stewart, made their presence felt, as the two combined for 28 points, three steals and two blocks ๐Ÿ‘ฌ

Down 12 with under five minutes left to play, Jelly Fam mounted an epic comeback in the second game of the evening, finishing on a 23-4 run to take down the Blue Checks, 79-72, further cementing their number two slot in the latest edition of the Strictly Rankings. Jelly Fam has been the hottest team in the league since the start of the new year and that is thanks to performances like Elijah Mooreโ€™s tonight, who dropped a cool 23 points and knocked down some pivotal buckets down the stretch to secure the comeback ๐ŸงŠ

Despite coming into the night as a game-time decision with an illness, Ian Jackson was able to suit up in his first game since being named a McDoanldโ€™s All-American and showed why he earned the title, scoring 15 points and controlling the offense through the comeback. Solomon Ominu came up huge for Jelly Fam as well, notching his fourth double-double of the season, as he finished the night with 11 points and 11 rebounds while also recording four big-time blocks ๐Ÿ’ช

The Blue Checks Rakease Passmore played his heart out, as he did not leave the court all game, finishing his evening with a team-high 23 points and three steals. Jahseem Felton put together one of his most well-rounded performances of the season, with a stat line of 20 points, five rebounds and five assists โœ…
