Down 12 with under five minutes left to play, Jelly Fam mounted an epic comeback in the second game of the evening, finishing on a 23-4 run to take down the Blue Checks, 79-72, further cementing their number two slot in the latest edition of the Strictly Rankings. Jelly Fam has been the hottest team in the league since the start of the new year and that is thanks to performances like Elijah Mooreโs tonight, who dropped a cool 23 points and knocked down some pivotal buckets down the stretch to secure the comeback ๐ง
Despite coming into the night as a game-time decision with an illness, Ian Jackson was able to suit up in his first game since being named a McDoanldโs All-American and showed why he earned the title, scoring 15 points and controlling the offense through the comeback. Solomon Ominu came up huge for Jelly Fam as well, notching his fourth double-double of the season, as he finished the night with 11 points and 11 rebounds while also recording four big-time blocks ๐ช
The Blue Checks Rakease Passmore played his heart out, as he did not leave the court all game, finishing his evening with a team-high 23 points and three steals. Jahseem Felton put together one of his most well-rounded performances of the season, with a stat line of 20 points, five rebounds and five assists โ
