Ellis Wins MVP Front Runner Duel
Eli Ellis put himself in pole position for the OTE MVP after he and the YNG Dreamerz downed Fear of God Athletics 96-74 late on Friday night. Ellis put up a near triple-double in a statement game with 36 points, ten boards and eight assists 🤯
Ellis has been a menace all season and now leads the league in points and assists as he is the clear frontrunner for his second consecutive MVP award. Hayden Assemian put together his first double-double of the season with a stat line of 16 points and 13 boards 🔥
For Fear of God Athletics, Shon Abaev was held in check, finishing with a season-low 14 points although he did have a big night on the boards (13 rebounds). Cayden Daughtry led the team in scoring with 16 points and remains the highest scoring underclassmen at OTE 🔒
Friday night opened up with a little deja vu as the City Reapers won their second consecutive game over the Diamond Doves by 20 points. The Reapers were led by Meleek Thomas who had a game-high 31 points, the third time this season he has crossed the 30-point threshold ☠️
Amari Evans had an all-around amazing game, putting up a stat line of 17 points, eight boards, seven assists and six steals, with his six swipes tied for the most in a game by any player this season. Jayden Wilkins went on a heater to end the game finishing his night with 15 points on four made triples 👌
For the Diamond Doves, Isaiah Henry put together his best night of the season with 23 points and six boards. Dylan Novak did Dylan Novak things as the captain of the offense, dishing out a season-high nine assists which is tied for the third most in a game this year 🪙
OTE is back in action tomorrow for a marquee matchup between rivals RWE and the YNG Dreamerz at 7 PM on YouTube. The night begins with a rematch of the pre-Thanksgiving thriller between the Cold Hearts and Fear of God Athletics at 5 PM 🎥
