In a shocking turn of events, we have ourselves an early season must-win matchup between RWE and the City Reapers at 7 PM on Friday night. After both RWE and the Reapers debuted at 0-2 during opening weekend, both teams now find themselves in desperate need of a win if they want to stay towards the top of the standings ๐Ÿซ

RWE has been incredibly close in their two losses, dropping them by an average of 4.0 points and they appear close to breaking through. Taylen Kinney is leading the way for RWE with 21.5 PPG and, after a slow start to the season from an efficiency standpoint, he has shown signs of progressing back to his usual levels of proficiency. Also playing a critical role for RWE this year is Brazilian forward Mathias Alessanco. Alessanco arrived to OTE just days before the season began but it was clear to see that he was growing acclimated to the OTE game with each passing minute on opening weekend. He finished the game against FaZe with a line of 11 points, five boards and three assists in limited minutes ๐Ÿ“ˆ

The Reapers on the other hand have returned to their committee approach to scoring after last season where they were led by heliocentric superstar Meleek Thomas. The Reapers have five players averaging double figure scoring to begin the season with returner Kole Grandison leading the pack (22.0 PPG). On top of Grandison, bruising forward Jeremy Jenkins and sharpshooter Trae Nunn are each averaging 17.0 PPG. Lastly, class of 2028 standouts Ty Sutton (16.0 PPG) and Blaze Johnson (15.5 PPG) are each making good first impressions ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Elsewhere this weekend, FaZe looks to stay towards the very top of league standings, as they take on the Cold Hearts on Friday at 9 PM. FaZeโ€™s three-headed monster of Marcus Spears Jr., DaKari Spear and Seven Spurlock look to knock early MVP favorite Adam Oumiddoch and the Cold Hearts down a peg in this blockbuster matchup ๐Ÿฅถ
