OTE Halloween Was One to Remember

OTE opening night on Halloween was one for the ages, as the Cold Hearts and RWE played in an instant classic that came down to the final shot in OT. The Cold Hearts nearly blew a seemingly insurmountable lead, as they were up eight with 31 seconds left in regulation before RWE came roaring back to force overtime. Luckily, Adam Oumiddoch was ready to go for the extra period, scoring all five of the Cold Hearts points including the two ice cold free throws to put the Cold Hearts at 1-0 to start the year ๐ŸงŠ

Oumiddoch was spectacular in this one, notching a team-high 31 points, the second most of his career, while also pulling down 12 boards in an absolute dominant showing that put the entire league on notice. Anderson Diaz came through as the Cold Hearts new lead guard, dishing out a game-high nine assists while also logging 11 points. Alan Shi made a major impact in this game as well, as his unrivaled energy resulted in 13 points and eight boards ๐Ÿ”‹

For RWE, Taylen Kinney put on a show in his first game of the season, registering 27 points, as he absolutely lived at the line with 14 of his points coming from the charity stripe. Peyton Miller made quite the impression in his OTE debut, scoring 20 points while also pulling down six boards and dishing out three assists ๐Ÿ’ช

In the second game of the night, the YNG Dreamerz were raining absolute terror on the City Reapers from deep, knocking down 17 triples in their 112-107 win. The Dreamerz took the dub in the OTE Finals rematch and very much look like they will be in the title conversation again this year, as they are averaging 109.3 points per game through three contests. Newcomer Caleb Jones was dynamite for the Dreamerz, scoring 41 points on 9-for-18 shooting from deep, bringing his season 3-point shooting rate to 48.6% ๐Ÿ‘€

Isaac Ellis is the engine that makes the Dreamerz offense work, as he was directing traffic to the tune of eight assists while also scoring 34 points on an unbelievable 5-for-10 three-point shooting night of his own. Four-star forward Kmajay Jenkins logged his first double-double of the season with a cool 18 points and 15 rebounds stat line ๐Ÿš‚

For the Reapers, Kole Grandison asserted himself as the new alpha of the team, leading the way with 33 points while also snaring five boards. Dream Tryout winner Trae Nunn made an instant impact as a floor spacer, splashing six of his nine triple attempts to finish the night with 20 points ๐Ÿ’ญ

There is more OTE action tomorrow night, as FaZe will make their OTE debut against RWE at 5 PM before the Dreamerz and Cold Hearts take part in a semi-finals rematch at 7 PM. All OTE games can be watched on the OTE YouTube channel ๐Ÿ“ฑ
