East vs. West Coast Battle This Week

For the first time in league history, OTE Arena will host four teams this week, all of whom are not based in ATL. The week opens with a West coast vs. East coast battle, as two teams from LA and Phoenix will battle squads stationed in New York and North Carolina 🏖️

This Week’s Schedule:

📍 Thursday, 7PM - Blue Checks vs. Diamond Doves (OTE Arena)

📍 Thursday, 8:30PM - YNG Dreamerz vs. Rolling Loud (OTE Arena)

📍 Friday, 7PM - YNG Dreamerz vs. Diamond Doves (OTE Arena)

📍 Friday, 8:30PM - Blue Checks vs. Rolling Loud (OTE Arena)

📍 Saturday, 1PM - City Reapers vs. Jelly Fam (Brooklyn, NY)

The first game of the week will be a battle between two teams trending in the wrong direction, as the Blue Checks take on the Diamond Doves at 7PM on YouTube. The Blue Checks are 3-3 and have lost both of their games in 2024 by an average of 22 points, while the Diamond Doves have lost seven straight and now are facing injury issues to their stars. The Doves will be missing leading scorer Jeremiah Johnson this weekend along with defensive big man Devin Brafford, who are both out with injury 🤕

Thursday night will conclude with a high profile West vs. East battle, as the YNG Dreamerz take on Rolling Loud at 8:30PM on YouTube. The Dreamerz and Rolling Loud opened their seasons against one another, with the Dreamerz emerging with a four-point win. More recently, the YNG Dreamerz have been on fire, winning three of their last four with Eli Ellis a scoring machine in those games 🏹

After a cold start to the season, Rolling Loud is 2-0 in 2024, and that is thanks in large part due to the improved play of Clemson commit Del Jones, the team's leading scorer on their mini two-game winning streak 🔥

In a Prime Video showdown, the YNG Dreamerz will finish off their week with a battle against the Diamond Doves at 7PM on Friday. In the two teams first meeting this season, the Dreamerz pulled out a narrow five point victory, as Ellis led all scorers with 30 points. For the Diamond Doves, Cooper “Red Mamba” Campbell led his squad in scoring, as he dropped 20 points and played his heart out to keep the Doves right in the game until the very end 🐍

In the second Prime Video game of the night, the Blue Checks and Rolling Loud will face off for the second time this season at 8:30PM on Friday. The first game between the two teams was a thriller, as the two teams were tight the whole way, only for the Blue Checks to snag a lead in the final minute, giving them 80-77 victory. In their matchup this week, look for Naas Cunningham and Jones to do a lot of the heavy lifting for Rolling Loud, while Kansas commit Rakease Passmore should shine for the Blue Checks 🏋️

The final game of the week will be between two of the hottest teams in the league, as Jelly Fam will host the City Reapers in Brooklyn (tickets available) in what should be one of the most exciting games of the year. Jelly Fam has been on fire recently, sporting a 3-0 record in 2024, with reigning OTE Player of the Week Ian Jackson averaging just over 23 PPG in the new year

The City Reapers continue to prove they belong at the top of the league, as they took down RWE in convincing fashion last week, with Jah Jackson having his strongest game of the season with 19 points and strong defensive efforts throughout the afternoon. In their one prior meeting this season, the Reapers took down Jelly Fam by nine points, as Bryson Tiller posted a double-double of 14 points and 11 boards 💪
