The week kicked off in Phoenix on Tuesday night with a West Coast showdown between Rolling Loud and the Diamond Doves. Rolling Loud won 81-78 in overtime, behind 27 points from Larry Johnson ๐Ÿ‘€

With OTE traveling to Indianapolis to host games alongside the NBAโ€™s All-Star Weekend, they kick off the week with what should be an absolute thriller between the YNG Dreamerz and City Reapers on Thursday evening. The teams are 1-1 against one another this season, which adds extra magnitude to this already seismic meeting. The Dreamerz are currently tied for first in the standings and are a game up on the Reapers. If the Dreamerz capture the win, they are in sole position of the number one overall seed and are all but guaranteed a top two seed in the playoffs. If the Reapers win this matchup, they will own the head-to-head tiebreaker with the Dreamerz and be tied with them in the standings, giving them a leg up and catapulting them back into the race for the number one spot ๐Ÿ”

Following the Dreamerz and Reapers matchup, RWE will take on the Cold Hearts in another meeting between two of the league's top teams. The Cold Hearts are tied at the top of the league standings and a win over RWE would increase the teams likelihood of snaring the number one seed in the playoffs. RWE, on the other hand, has a wide range of outcomes depending on the outcome of their final two games. If RWE goes undefeated in Indianapolis they could potentially clinch the four seed and in doing so earn a bye from the first round of the playoffs. However, if RWE fails to win either of their contests they could fall as low as number seven in the standings, giving them the widest range of outcomes of all remaining teams. RWEโ€™s final two games are against the top two teams in the standings so they have a challenging journey ahead of them ๐Ÿ˜ค

Across the US in Phoenix, the Blue Checks will face off against the Diamond Doves that, like every other game this week, has major playoff implications. The Blue Checks are one of three teams in a race for the four seed and a first round bye and they have the weakest strength of schedule remaining. The Blue Checks have played the Diamond Doves once already this season and a low-scoring affair ensued with the Checks taking home a 67-57 victory. The Blue Checks will lean heavily on reigning OTE Player of the Weekย Rakease Passmore to carry them to a perfect week to close out the season ๐Ÿ’™

The final game of Thursday night to be played in Phoenix will be between Rolling Loud and Jelly Fam in a rematch of last week's overtime thriller. Jelly Fam narrowly avoided another upset at the hands of Rolling Loud last week thanks to another game of heroics from UNC commit Ian Jackson. With Jelly Fam up 83-82 and playing to a target score of 85, Ian Jackson manipulated the defense to generate a mismatch and drove that mismatch all the way to the rim for an easy finish and the game. Thanks to Jackson, Jelly Fam avoided a second consecutive upset at the hands of Rolling Loud after getting blown out 101-78 a couple of weeks prior ๐Ÿ‡

To kick off things on Friday in Indianapolis, the Cold Hearts and City Reapers will do battle for the second straight week. Last week when the two teams matched up the Cold Hearts defeated the Reapers by a score of 86-80 giving Dave Leitao his fourth consecutive win as Head Coach since taking over the role in mid-January. The Cold Hearts led by a comfortable margin for most of the game with Kanon Catchings leading the way in scoring for the fifth time since the calendar flipped to 2024, finishing the game with 19 points. For the Reapers Amari Evans had his strongest game of the season scoring a team-high 24 points and bolstering his Defensive Player of the Year case with two steals and a block ๐Ÿ—œ๏ธ

The last game to be played in Indianapolis will be between RWE and the YNG Dreamerz marking the two teams' second meeting in the last seven days. Eli Ellis put the finishing touches on his MVP case as he dropped 38 points to help lead the Dreamerz to a 99-95 victory over RWE. Ellis is putting a chokehold on the MVP race as he is the leagueโ€™s leading scorer, scoring nine more points per game than second place, while also playing for the team with the leagueโ€™s best record. Last week saw the full return to action for RWEโ€™s star big man, Somto Cyril, and he made the most of it averaging 10.5 PPG, 7.0 RPG and 2.0 BPG as he looks to make an even bigger impact in the postseason ๐Ÿ†

Back in Phoenix, Jelly Fam will close out their season with one last matchup against the Diamond Doves. Jelly Fam has defeated the Doves twice already this season and in those two previous meetings, Jelly Famโ€™s Jackson is averaging 30.5 PPG, his highest scoring average against any team this season. Jelly Fam will look to put the finishing touches on their race for the fourth seed with a win over the Doves which would earn them the coveted first round bye. If the Doves hope to win this matchup they will need a big game from Ketraleus โ€œBoโ€ Aldridge who is the leagueโ€™s steal leader this season ๐Ÿ’ช

The final game of the regular season will be played at 10:30PM on Friday night in Phoenix between the Blue Checks and Rolling Loud. The Blue Checks have dispatched of Rolling Loud twice already this season, however, both games were remarkably close with the Checks winning both by three points. Dominick Stewart was a flamethrower from deep in the two teams last meeting, going 6-for-6 from beyond the arc for Rolling Loud. For the Checks, Jahseem Felton had one of his brightest games last time these two met, scoring a team-high 19 points while also dishing out eight assists ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The playoffs will open on Tuesday next week with more details to be released once the regular season comes to a close ๐Ÿ”œ
