Eli struggled a little bit to get going in the first half, so Isaac picked up the slack scoring 18 in the first 16 minutes. Eli didnโt stay cold for long though after only having three points in the first half, he poured in 38 in the second, giving him 41 for the game. Itโs Eliโs fourth game this season with 40 points ๐
The Cold Hearts had no answer for him, as he scored 20 in the third and 18 more in the fourth, while hitting seven threes in the game. Eli also had nine rebounds and five assists to go along with his 41 points
Isaac finished with 20 points and Evan Morton had 18. John Bol led the Cold Hearts with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Trey Parker had 17 ๐ค
In the second game of the night, the Diamond Doves came to play and built a 19-point lead in the second half. Jelly Fam always comes ready for a fight though, and stormed back behind 30 points from Ian Jackson
Trailing by two, Jackson took a three to win and it rimmed out, but Jelly Fam got the offensive rebound and put back to tie things up and force overtime
In overtime, itโs the first to five and Jelly Fam got off to a fast start and played really well defensively. Looking to complete the comeback, Solomon Ominu iced the game with two free throws to give Jelly Fam their second win in as many nights
Eric Mejia had 18 points and seven rebounds and Ominu finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Dellquan Warren was the fourth Jelly Fam member to score in double figures with 16. Jeremiah Johnson fought his heart out, scoring 27 points and drawing 11 fouls on the night. Chop Paljor had 24 points on 8/11 shooting ๐น
After a great weekend of games, OTE Arena will be rocking once again on Monday for MLK Day. The City Reapers will be taking on RWE, while Eli Ellis and the Dreamerz will look to stay hot facing the Cold Hearts once again
