Celebrating MLK Day in fashion, Overtime Elite had two great games in front of a capacity crowd at OTE Arena

In the first game, after surrendering an early 19 point lead, the City Reapers battled back and were able to pull out a 85-72 win over RWE in their final regular season meeting. A cold spell from the Reapers in the third and early fourth quarter wiped out a massive lead, but the defensive play of Jah Jackson and the rest of the Reapers fueled a late game run, giving them the double-digit victory ๐Ÿ”’

On top of his stellar defense in the second half, Jackson also led the team in scoring with a season-high 19 points to go along with six boards. Jaeden Mustaf was excellent for the Reapers, as he continues to excel in his role as the team's primary playmaker, dishing out seven assists while also making his presence felt on the defensive end with three steals and a block ๐Ÿ’ช

For RWE, Karter Knox led the team in scoring with 15 points, marking the sixth time this season heโ€™s finished with the most points on his team. Peyton Marshall narrowly missed out on his first double-double of the season, as he finished the game with a stat line of 11 points and nine boards ๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ

In the second game of the afternoon, the YNG Dreamerz had a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, but the Cold Hearts responded with a big comeback. They didnโ€™t get over the hump until Samis Calderon hit a three with 1:33 remaining

After John Bol went 1-2 from the line, the YNG Dreamerz had the ball down two with 13 seconds remaining. Eli Ellis got the rock and drove to the basket. Covered up, he kicked it out and Abu Yarmah swished the three to take the lead and seal the win ๐Ÿ‘‡

Mikel Brown Jr. had 16 points and nine assists. Calderon had 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Cold Hearts kept the Dreamerz contained mostly, but Eli still had 36 points on the afternoon. Don Lewis was the other Dreamer in double figures with 15. The Dreamerz are on a little bit of a roll, winning three of their last four games

OTE games continue on Thursday in Atlanta, with the Blue Checks taking on the Diamond Doves 7PM EST, following by the YNG Dreamerz vs. Rolling Loud. Both games will be streamed on YouTube ๐Ÿ™
