🇺🇸 OTE’s Naismith All-Americans

It was announced on Monday that OTE has five players represented on the Naismith All-American team's. Read all about the five players who landed on the list and their accomplishments down below.

OTE’s Naismith All-Americans

The Jersey Mike’s Naismith Boy’s All-American Team’s were announced on Monday and OTE found themselves with five representatives across all the teams: 

📍 Taylen Kinney - Third Team

📍 Cayden Daughtry - Honorable Mention

📍 Marcus Spears Jr. - Honorable Mention

📍 Javon Bardwell - Underclassmen Honorable Mention

📍 Gabe Nesmith - Underclassmen Honorable Mention

Taylen Kinney had an all-time great year for RWE, leading them to the semis as the team’s leading scorer and playmaker. Kinney finished out the season with averages of 20.0 PPG, 5.6 APG and 1.1 SPG. Kinney finishes his career with RWE as the greatest player in program history. He is RWE’s all-time leading scorer with 844 points across his RWE career which also places him sixth in OTE history. In addition to Naismith All-American honors, Kinney was also one of two OTE players to be named as a McDonald’s All-American this season 🍔

Cayden Daughtry was the leader of a resilient Fear of God Athletics squad in his second year in the league. Daughtry finished out the season as OTE’s second leading scorer at 29.1 PPG. In addition, in just two seasons of work, Daughtry is already OTE’s fourth all-time leading scorer with 996 points. For Daughtry’s exceptional season, he landed on the All-OTE Team and finished as the second runner-up for OTE MVP 😈

Marcus Spears Jr. was instrumental in leading FaZe to the OTE Championship in just their first year as a program. The number one ranked player in the class of 2027 averaged 19.1 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 1.5 SPG and 1.4 BPG in his first year in the league. For his efforts he was named to the All-OTE Team and also won the inaugural Best Duo award alongside teammate DaKari Spear. Spears Jr. became known for his defensive acumen as the year went on, resulting in him finishing as the second-runner up for DPOY 🔒

Javon Bardwell made the move from the Diamond Doves to RWE in the middle of the season and he truly made a name for himself once in an RWE jersey. Bardwell posted averages of 17.4 PPG, 6.4 RPG and 1.4 SPG across the entirety of the season. Bardwell is a top ten scorer in OTE history, logging 631 points across his two seasons in the league, good for ninth all-time 😤

Gabe Nesmith played for the City Reapers this season, however, he missed the bulk of the year with an injury. In the four games he was able to suit up for he averaged 7.3 PPG, 2.8 APG and 2.0 RPG. Nesmith is well set up for a breakout year in his return to OTE next season 💪
