Top Storyline: RWE came so close last year, can they finish the job this season?

RWE returns just two players from last year's finalist team and no starters, so where does that leave them this season? To begin, an influx of new talent should still have RWE competing with the top of the league just like last season. Secondly, the two returners RWE brought back both appear to have leveled up their games this offseason and are ready to be bigger contributors ๐Ÿ†™

Coming into the year, RWE has a three-headed backcourt that is the most feared unit in the league. Jasper Johnson is one of the highest ranked players at OTE (14th in 2025) and is the gold standard for shooters in the league as he is equally dangerous off-the-catch and on pull-ups. Johnson has been paired with Taylen Kinney who is lethal in getting to the basket as one of the best slashers. The two of them should have immediate chemistry on the court as they both hail from the state of Kentucky. In addition to those two, RWE also made a blockbuster trade for former City Reaper Parker Robinson who led the league in three-point shooting percentage in the playoffs ๐Ÿ‘Œ

RWE brought in more than just guard play as they added some serious depth to their frontcourt as well. The big man rotation of Tee Bartlett and Jackson McVey is one of the strongest in the league, as the two have unparalleled size that will make them difficult for any team to deal with in the paint. RWE also brought in hard-nosed defender and former Player of the Year in the state of Michigan in Keshawn Fisher who has already made waves talking trash to the reigning MVP ๐Ÿ›‘

RWE brought back the fifth ranked player in the class of 2027 in Lincoln Cosby, who is coming off an extremely successful summer of growth. In three preseason games, Cosby averaged 15.3 PPG, 6.7 RPG and a league best 2.7 blocks per game. RWE also welcomes back Romelo Hill who dropped 11 points and two steals in the teamโ€™s second preseason game ๐Ÿ’ช

RWE will begin their season on Friday, November 1 at 7 PM when they take on the YNG Dreamerz in a semi-finals rematch on OTEโ€™s YouTube channel ๐Ÿ“ฑ
