The 2026 Dream Tryout Winner is…

The third annual OTE Dream Tryout saw 20 young men getting to live out their dream trying to earn a coveted spot at OTE for the 2026-27 season. Alas, only one player could be the winner and that lucky young man this year was Texas’ own Kyle Amadi 🤯

Amadi is a 6-4 guard in the class of 2028 who can get buckets with the best high schoolers in the nation. He had one of the greatest tryout performances OTE has ever seen 🔥

In the 3v3 Tournament on Wednesday, Amadi willed his team to victory as the leading scorer in the team’s comeback victory. He followed that up the next day with a stellar performance in the King of the Court competition where he could not be beaten. However, his coup de grace came in the final event of the day, the 5v5 scrimmage 😮‍💨

Amadi put the team on his back leading all scorers with 31 points on an efficient 11-for-18 shooting performance from the field. Whenever his team needed a bucket, Amadi was there to deliver, showing time and time again that he was built for the moment 🤩
