Top Seeds Win Semis Game 1
The YNG Dreamerz took care of business in Game 1 with a thorough dismantling of the underdog Cold Hearts. Reigning MVP Eli Ellis came back for his first game since February 5th and it was like he never left, scoring 27 points and dishing out eight assists to put the Dreamerz up in the series early ๐คฉ
Kohl Rosario was the teamโs leading scorer with 30 points that he got in a variety of ways, from high-flying dunks to the six three-pointers he knocked down. Abu Yarmah wasnโt shy from deep either, as he put in five triples to finish the night with 19 points and seven boards ๐
The Cold Hearts were already without Adam Oumiddoch who missed the game with an illness and then lost blossoming guard Omari Chaudhry to an injury early in the first quarter. Stepping up in their stead was Samis Calderon who scored a team-high 21 points on 64% shooting from the field ๐ค
The City Reapers were not to be trifled with in Game 1 of their Semi-Finals series against Fear of God Athletics, as they blew them out of the water by a score of 95-72. Meleek Thomas got the best of his fellow McDonaldโs All-American Shon Abaev in this one, scoring a game-high 33 points which saw him knock down an absurd eight triples, tied for the second most in a game all-time ๐ฅ
Styles Clemmons had his best game as a City Reaper, as he logged his first ever double-double with 13 points and 12 assists with his 12 assists tied for the second most in a game for any player this season. Amari Evans played his usual stellar defense and also produced 12 points, four assists and four boards ๐ช
For Fear of God Athletics, Shon Abaev continued his amazing postseason run as he scored a team-high 25 points and pulled down 11 boards which marked his second double-double of the playoffs. Collin Paul was rock-solid in this one as he registered 14 points and four boards ๐ชจ
