2026-27 FaZe Roster Preview

The 2026-27 OTE season is just around the corner and for the next month we will be slowly unveiling the teams and rosters for the upcoming season. We start this week with FaZe, the reigning champ, who is already vying for a repeat title with a revamped roster. Read below to learn all about the 2026-27 FaZe roster 📝

FaZe was the most dominant team in OTE history last season, dropping just three games in the regular season before going on a postseason run in which they didn’t lose a single game and won by an average margin of 18.9 PPG. With that said, almost the entirety of FaZe’s roster graduated including the fearsome foursome of Marcus Spears Jr., DaKari Spear, Seven Spurlock and Austin Goosby. FaZe returns just three players from last year’s championship roster. With that said FaZe has completely reloaded their roster and enter this year just as much a title threat as they were last year 🔥

FaZe’s biggest addition of the offseason is Benji Berrouet who is not only an internet sensation but is also a top five ranked player in the class of 2028, according to ESPN. Berrouet is a 6-8 forward who is playing for the U16 Latvian Team at the FIBA U16 Eurobasket later this month. Berrouet is a tremendous rebounder and screener but he also possesses perimeter skills and the self creation of a guard. He will enter this season as the face of FaZe and one of the stars of OTE 🤯

FaZe returns three players from last year’s championship team but just one starter. Big man David Baliraine is back after starting the entirety of FaZe’s playoff run where he posted averages of 4.8 PPG and 5.8 RPG. The other two returners are the two youngsters Ansar Kussainov and Koi Wilkins, who are both class of 2029 guards who played minimally on FaZe last year but should step into bigger roles this season 💪

FaZe will also welcome two additional OTE vets in Blaze Johnson and Howard Williams, both of whom suited up for the City Reapers last season. Johnson is another standout in the class of 2028, ranked 15th, and he posted impressive averages of 12.8 PPG and 3.9 RPG as one of the youngest players in the league last season. Williams is ranked 48th in the class of 2027 and is an explosive wing that averaged 13.3 PPG and 5.8 RPG on the Reapers last year 💀

Expected to be rounding out FaZe’s starting lineup this season are two newcomers in Payton Jones and Elijah Paez. Jones, the 49th ranked player in the class of 2027, is a 6-2 combo guard who is known for his crafty finishing around the rim and playmaking chops. Paez, a 6-6 wing in the class of 2027, is expected to be the perfect glue guy but after a breakout performance at Peach Jam this summer there may be even more unearthed potential that FaZe can tap into 😤

The final two players rounding out the roster for FaZe are new talent Thaddues Young Jr. and Jesse Mutombo. Young is a class of 2029 guard who is best known as the son of 17 year NBA vet Thaddeus Young. Mutombo is a strong, scrappy guard from the class of 2027 who will bring a certain level of toughness off the bench for FaZe this season 💯
