Make sure to go to the OTE website to get tickets to all of the biggest matchups of the season. Below we have outlined ten must watch games this season as the season is slated to get underway at the end of the month ๐คฏ
RWE vs. Cold Hearts
Friday, October 31 @ 7 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: OTE ATL Season Opener
The fifth OTE season opens up in Atlanta on Halloween with a storied matchup between two ATL teams: the Cold Hearts and RWE. RWE returns superstar Taylen Kinney, fresh off of his commitment to Kansas, while also bringing in new stars in Kam Mercer and Mathias Vazquez. The Cold Hearts are coming into the season with positive momentum after last yearโs surprise run to the semi-finals and star guard Adam Oumiddoch will be tasked with keeping that momentum going ๐คฉ
City Reapers vs. YNG Dreamerz
Friday, October 31 @ 9 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: OTE Finals Rematch
The second game of opening night might just be the game of the season with a rematch of last yearโs OTE Finals between the City Reapers and YNG Dreamerz lined up. The City Reapers lost MVP Runner-Up Meleek Thomas and DPOY Amari Evans from last yearโs finals team but all hope is not lost. The City Reapers brought in two new five-star prospects in Jeremy Jenkins and Gabe Nesmith to fill the shoes of the talent that has departed. Meanwhile, opening night will mark the first time in two years that we will see the YNG Dreamerz play without reigning two-time OTE MVP Eli Ellis on their roster. Isaac Ellis aims to prove that he is more than ready to step up in his brotherโs absence this season while the additions of the Truesdale twins, Dereon and Dre, should keep the Dreamerz near the top of the standings all year ๐
RWE vs. FaZe
Saturday, November 1 @ 5 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: FaZe OTE debut
FaZe was recently announced as the ninth team at OTE and they will be making their OTE debut against RWE on November 1. If that isnโt reason enough to tune-in to this game, this matchup will also feature a showdown between RWE superstar Taylen Kinney, the front-runner for MVP, and the number one player in the country, Marcus Spears Jr., who is set to lead FaZe in their first ever league action ๐ฎ
RWE vs. City Reapers
Saturday, November 7 @ 7 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: First battle between OTE juggernauts
This matchup marks the first time these two juggernauts will see each other this season. The City Reapers and RWE are the two most recent OTE runner-ups and the Reapers downed RWE in the 2024 OTE Finals. Returners Kole Grandison and Styles Clemmons for the City Reapers and Parker Robinson and Romelo Hill for RWE get to rekindle this timeless rivalry โ๏ธ
FaZe vs. YNG Dreamerz
Friday, November 14 @ 9 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: Matchup of the new title favorites?
The YNG Dreamerz are coming off of the most dominant start to finish season in OTE history and come into this year as an instant title favorite. FaZe on the other hand has never played a minute of OTE basketball yet with the collection of talent they have assembled they canโt be looked at as anything other than a legitimate title contender. On top of Spears, FaZe also brings in elite talent DaKari Spear, Seven Spurlock and Phoenix Woodson ๐
Cold Hearts vs. City Reapers
Sunday, December 7 @ 3 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: Diamant Blazi revenge game
Right before the season started Diamant Blazi was moved from his old team the Cold Hearts to the City Reapers. Now for the first time he will get a chance to exact revenge on his old team. Blazi was a massive piece of the Cold Hearts surprise run to the semi-finals last season, as he averaged a block a game as one of the defensive linchpins of the squad. Blaziโs explosiveness and defensive intensity will now be used against the Cold Hearts as the City Reapers try to pick up a big win in the middle of the season ๐ฅถ
Fear of God Athletics vs. RWE
Sunday, December 14 @ 7 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: Legendary quarter-finals rematch
Last year's quarterfinals matchup between Fear of God Athletics and RWE was one of the greatest series in OTE history. FOGA pulled off one of the biggest upsets ever when Collin Paul went on a heater in overtime to down RWE in THE Game of the Year. Cayden Daughtry looks to take another leap forward for FOGA while Taylen Kinney is on a warpath, hellbent on revenge after last yearโs premature exit from the playoffs ๐ก
Jelly Fam vs. Blue Checks
Saturday, December 20 @ 7 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: Elhadji Diallo revenge game
Elhadji Diallo has bounced around from team to team in his time at OTE but now he is back where he originally started with the Blue Checks after he played last season with Jelly Fam. Diallo averaged 5.8 PPG and 6.0 RPG while also posting 1.3 BPG as a starting forward for Jelly Fam last season. Now on the Blue Checks, Diallo is set to star and will look to prove how wrong Jelly Fam was to let him go. Mel Mel Thomas and blossoming star Kevin Wheatley Jr. are locked in this year and will look to put a damper on Dialloโs revenge game ๐
RWE vs. YNG Dreamerz
Friday, January 23 @ 7 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: OTEโs biggest rivalry is back with major playoff implications
RWE and the YNG Dreamerz have the most storied rivalry in OTE history and this matchup comes with extra juice as it is expected to have major playoff implications. To put it simply, these two teams do not like each other and have a history of playing in some of the tightest, most intense games the league has to offer. This game should be no different, as these two teams are both projected to finish towards the top of the standings and this game could go a long way in determining who will land the top spot in the playoffs ๐ค
City Reapers vs. FaZe
Friday, January 30 @ 9 PM (OTE Arena)
๐ Why you should watch: Final weekend of regular season games with playoff seeding on the line
This matchup between the City Reapers and FaZe will be the fourth time these two teams face off this season which is plenty of time for true rivalries between the two to form. On top of all of that, this is the final weekend of games before the playoffs which is always a crazy time with playoff seeding on the line. At this stage of the season young players like Blaze Johnson (2028) for the City Reapers and Ansar Kussainov (2029) for FaZe may have had time to develop into bigger roles ๐ฅ
